At 14 Eric Sun, a piano student of Dr. Kenneth Gartner's, is heard in the "Prelude and Fugue in F sharp" from Book II of Bach's Well Tempered Clavier. Dr. Gartner, whose Ph.D. is in Piano Technique, works with students to develop this exceptional clarity of line and dynamics: This approach allowed Eric to perform the Third Movement of Gershwin's Concerto in F with the Waco Symphony in Texas when Eric was but 8 years of age and could not yet reach an octave!
